WIRELESS SUITE LOCK INTEGRATION

Suite-level access control. No wiring. No extra platform.

Extending access control from building common areas to individual suites used to mean running new wire to every door — an expensive, disruptive retrofit in any occupied building. Fortek Unify integrates with wireless lock platforms that connect over your building’s existing WiFi or Zigbee mesh infrastructure, bringing suite-level credential management into the same system that controls your lobby doors, elevators, and alarms.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DORMAKABA

Fortek Unify is fully integrated with Dormakaba – one of the world’s leading access hardware manufacturers – with purpose-built wireless lock platforms for multifamily and mixed-use properties. Dormakaba offers two complementary wireless systems that cover the full range of building environments: Lyazon for WiFi-connected properties, and Community for buildings where network coverage at every suite door isn’t guaranteed.

All of this is managed directly inside Fortek Unify.  No separate app, no second dashboard.

📶 Dormakaba Lyazon — WiFi

Lyazon is Dormakaba’s cloud-native wireless lock platform, built for multifamily and mixed-use properties with reliable WiFi infrastructure. Lyazon locks connect over your building’s existing network.

Through Fortek Unify:

  • Issue, modify, and revoke suite credentials instantly from the central dashboard
  • Real-time access event logging at every suite door
  • Remote unlock for building staff and maintenance personnel
  • Automatic credential expiry for short-term or temporary occupants
  • Mobile key support via Bluetooth

Best for: New construction and buildings with strong WiFi coverage throughout residential floors.

📡 Dormakaba Community — Zigbee / Offline

Community is Dormakaba’s wireless lock system designed for buildings where WiFi coverage at every suite door isn’t reliable. Community locks use Zigbee mesh radio and are fully capable of offline operation — credentials are stored on the lock itself, with no dependency on live network connectivity at the door.

Through Fortek Unify:

  • Fob, card, PIN, and mobile credential support
  • Bluetooth mobile key provisioning and revocation
  • Fully offline-capable — no network required at the door itself
  • Automatic move-in and move-out credential management
  • Compatible with buildings that have concrete-heavy construction limiting WiFi range

Best for: Retrofit installations, older buildings, and any environment with inconsistent wireless coverage.

THE RIGHT TECHNOLOGY
FOR YOUR BUILDINGS

Most buildings that add wireless suite locks end up managing them through a separate vendor app disconnected from the building’s main access control platform. That means two event logs, two credential databases, two systems to learn, and two calls to make when something goes wrong.

Fortek Unify brings suite locks into the same platform as every other building system, so your front desk team manages everything from one screen, and your residents get a seamless experience from the parking garage to their front door.
